                 Litecoin (LTC) is cryptocurrency created by Charlie Lee.  It was initiated on October 13, 2011. It was believed that as a kind of analogue of silver in world of cryptocurrencies, where Bitcoin is Gold. Litecoin also uses same protocol as Bitcoin, but with some changes with hashing algorithm, Block Chain, transaction time, etc. It’s protocol is Scrypt PoW, which aims to mine on simple devices.

Litecoin Mining :

                Litecoin mining is profitable if miner has right setup which includes low electricity cost and cool environment. By choosing Scrypt, Charlie Lee allowed Litecoin to be mined on CPU’s but that didn’t last long, soon GPU’s were being used mine Litecoin as well.

Litecoin Performnace :

                At initial stage when coin was introduced in market it’s price was 0.74 USD. After gaining popularity by Bitcoin gradually Litecoin also gained too many investors in quick time. Currently price of Litecoin is 310.3 USD which is great leap.
